Hello

http://www.rdallasphotography.co.uk/

My amazingly wonderful and talented boyfriend (photographer Andrew Murdoch - http://andephotographic.co.uk/  http://andephotographic.blogspot.com/) has one of these blogs, so I figured I may as well get one and see where I can go with it.

Well to start off with I'm a photographer. I'm in my 3rd year of BA Photography at UWS after passing my HND Photography and Digital Imaging at Glasgow Met. I received an A for my 2nd year Graded projet and am preparing to well and truly say bye to my social life for the next 8/9 months so I can fully concentrate on my study. Let's see how well that goes... :-|

Talking about saying bye to my social life - I went out last night with people I went to college with. It was a great night and lovely to see them all. It got me thinking, I may only have another 8 or so months of being a student. This means only another 8 months of free studio space, free equipment hire, only a short while left that I'll be surrounded by fellow students to get feedback from and only a short while that I'll have tutors such as John Carberry and Aileen Campbell to get help and advise from. Scary! So, I'm going to have to make the most of this. As we are constantly reminded we don't have all this out in the big bad real world. I truly hope that Andrew and I are always going to be there for each other for help and feedback, and I have some great friends (Eve Lewis, Vicky Cheape - http://victoriacheape.blogspot.com/ and Jilly Todd to name a few) from College and Uni who I hope will be part of my life for a long time to come. (soppy)

On to my photography... My web link is at the top of this page, and I'm sure I'll continue posting it all over this blog. My recent photography adventures have been;

A three day trip up to my cousins in Kinloch Rannoch, the most picturesque village in the Scottish Highlands about an hour from Pitlochry. A couple of my favourite images from that trip...

A day trip up to Glen Etive with Andrew...

A day in the studio with my very beautiful friend Fiona...

And a trip to North Italy with Andrew...

I have far too many photos from each of these trips and shoots to choose only one or two images to show you. Next task for me is to get my flicker account sorted and up to date. Link will be on here asap! In the mean time check out more of my work on my website (http://www.rdallasphotography.co.uk/).

Tonight I have a shoot with Ilamasqua makeup. They are holding an event in The Sold Rock and I'm the official photographer for the event. If tonight goes well I will become the official photographer for Illamasqua Glasgow. So, for now I'm away to get my equipment ready and think about my hair and makeup - have to look the part!

Thanks for reading this far down, not all my posts will be this long!
