Quiet

Well it's been a while but I've not actually shot much for the past week or so. My whole time seems to have been taken up doing workbooks, going to class and partying as it was my boyfriends birthday last Friday, and mine on Saturday.

Here are some images that I have taken this week though. They may not be the most technically brilliant but it was just been a case of having my camera on me and snapping away! I like them though.

The first two are of my boyfrined Andrew, I don't know if it's just because I'm in this sort of mood but they feel so Christmassy to me :)

I've been on low level trains so much recently. This photo is taken in Glasgow Central low level station, nobody even seems to smile there, unless they are drunk.

Glasgow Met food. These were not my chips, I wont shame the person that was eating them :-p

Vicky and Sara waiting for Wednesday afternoon class. It's totally hit or miss if anyone is going to show up for it, this week we had quite a good turn out - 8 out of 22 of us!

Hopefully got a shoot on Sat night which will be the start of a new portraits project that I'm doing. Portraits are not my strong point, this needs to be fixed. Also I think I'll start another project this afternoon, it's one I've been wanting to do for a while so I may as well get a start on it.

All for now!

Scotland St School shoot

I'm really pleased with my images from this shoot. They were more than happy to let me wander about taking photos for as long as I wanted. As long as I didn't go into the Victorian Classroom as a school trip was there actually getting a lesson. I could hear it all from the first room I shot in;

Kids - "A B C D E F G H I ....."
Teacher - "Yes. Now you, what comes after R?"
Kid - "Emmm....P?"
Teacher - "NO, now stay standing for the rest of the lesson!"

I was scared for that kid!

Anyway I like my images, and think they work well with a set. I'm not yet sure which one I'll use for 3A, I probably wont decide that until I've shot all my images for it, then I can see what'll work together and what wont.

Here they are;

I hope they are 'chair' enough to use for 3A.

Chairs

Had a shoot at Scotland Street School this afternoon. I think it went well, just about to start editing some of them now.

A couple of days ago I looked out my bedroom window and saw a chair sitting in the middle of my garden, so I got the camera and ladders out and shot it. I'm not sure if I'll use them as part of my 3A, guess I'll wait an see what else I get shot! Here are the two I'm most pleased with. Feed back please!

Jumble Fever

I shot photographs at Jumble Fever in the Flying Duck on Wednesday night. Unfortunatly it was quieter than usual but I managed to get some shots I am happy with. Here's a few of them.

I have a shoot in Scotland Street School next week and I am planning a day through in Edinburgh to shoot for 3A. Also keen to do more shots like my Graded project in HND2. Self portraits depicting femininity in a dream like state.

Couple of images from that...

Insperation

I am spending today researching photographers, places, lighing etc for my 3A Chairs project. I've already been on the phone to arrange a shoot for this week, and may pop round to my local 'run down' hotel to see if I can shoot there (although annoyingly I have the feeling it was done up recently). I also need to get out to The Polo Lounge soon as they are not replying to my emails, everything is better done face to face!

I did a shoot for Comic Relief Glasgow last Thursday, so I now finally have some hours to put down for Work Related Learning.

I also experimented with shooting through the plastic inside a chocolate fingers box...

This is something I may get in to more.

I have an idea for a project I want to do next block. Will do some research and send some emails today to see if it can fall together.

Canon day in Uni tomorrow, talk by Victor Albrow on Wed (amazing work, check it out at http://www.albrow.com/) and hopefully shooting for the IETM (International network for contemporary performing arts) between Thursday and Sunday.
