Where's the motivation?

I'm finding it very hard to get motivated today. I've sat and looked at countless photographs by Philip Lorca DiCorcia and Saul Leiter to get some insperation, and they will hopefully give me some motivation!

These photographs, some of DiCorcia's Hustlers series, are absolutely cracking! The lighting is amazing, which is great research for my next Uni project, 'Photography in the Magic Hour'.

I have a shoot planned for this Uni project later on this afternoon, and then one first thing tomorrow morning. I'm doing portraits for them, and I don't shoot a lot of portraits so I'm actually pretty nervous. Digital handin is next Wednesday, so if these shoots don't go to plan I still have plenty of time to pull soemthing out the bag!

I only began to know the work of Saul Leiter very recently. Leiter's colour photography of the 1950's is breathtaking!

I did a load of work on Philip Lorca DiCorcia for a project in college a while back. If you need at hand at any point just shout!

  3. Thanks guys! Garry I've gone in a whole new direction for this project, although I do totally love DiCorcia's work so I think it may come up again soon!
